SPL U20 League

FT 0-0
Unlucky not win, keeper saved a Steven Ross pen.
Hainault, Micic and Fotheringham got a start.
Archie MacPhee went off injured, hopefully nothing too serious.

We lost 2-1 at Aberdeen yesterday.

Updated table here http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s60

Dundee will finish bottom. We have two more games, Motherwell away next week and Celtic at home on May 16th.

Doesn't make for good reading but at least we ain't bottom.

This was our first year at this level so we shouldn't expect too much , but with 5 drawn games and 7 games where we lost by just 1 goal I would expect a big improvement next season as the younger players will be more street wise.

The SPL website is showing the final home game v Celtic as a 2pm kick-off, which is a bit of a bummer!

ETA: Game now moved to Tuesday 14th, 3pm ko.

Lost 1-0 to Motherwell this afternoon. Team: McCarthy, Finlayson, MacDonald, Grimes, Porritt, McKillop, R.Ross, S.Ross, Glen, Cooper, Hutchinson

With one game left, we will finish 2nd bottom. Fair to say it's been a 'learning experience'.

Of course it has. Most of the boys this year are 16-18 so they've still a couple years left in U20's if the club wish to keep them.

Out of interest, U20s league as it is, or Reserve league, what would you rather?

Reserves, definitely.

Cue a 3 point deduction for us not having a 6000 capacity at the final match.
