Ross County in International Football
#1
Filip Kiss came on for Slovakia tonight in their Euro 2016 qualifier win against Spain. He also played in their win against Ukraine last month.

I was trying to think of other players who have been capped for their national side during their time at Ross County. I could think of:

Andre Hainault (Canada)
Michael McGovern (Northern Ireland)

Any others?

Isn't Yoann away on international duty at the moment?

Was Hastings capped while with us?

He played more for the Faroes while on our books than he did for us, if I recall.

Sean Webb, or was that just U-21 caps?

I don't actually remember Don playing for the U-21's while at County, to be honest.

Richard Hastings was the first player to win a cap while playing for County.

Dyron Dall also got a call up, but not sure if he actually played

Hadn't realised Filip played his part in what is an amazing result for his country.

Well done and congratulations Smile

I see that Filip got another sub appearance in Slovakia's win over Belarus on Sunday. He should come back from the international break with a bit of confidence.

And Belarus had three Dingwall loons in their line up - Pauly Coff, Siva Coff and Gordie Chuck.

According to Yoanns twitter, he was away and won for Martinique. Details of performance are scarce though.

3 games from last wed, won 2, drew 1. No goals for Yoann, but 5 in 3 games for his teammate Julien Faubert

Well done Jackson Irvine today!

"84 min: So close for second-capper Jackson Irvine who glances a lovely header from a right side cross; it beats Alam but not the left post. Haven’t seen much of Irvine, I must admit. Can I say he has the eyelashes of a camel? Long, lustrous, sand-defying. He’s like a prettier David Beckham."

Quality journalism - I can just hear Kenny's drums thumping away to a chant of 'Prettier than Beckham', or similar..

His chance is the last highlight of the match. He came on as a sub.
