Willies Referee Moan
#1
In memory of “ Willie Macdonald”.
Could we use this as a method of recording referees, shall we say discrepancies, inadequacies etc.?

I'll begin.
How on earth did Saint Mirren get a penalty for hand ball, and Motherwell didn't?
Please tell me how the Celtic player made a better save than most keepers over the weekend, and Motherwell were still denied penalty.

Ok, they never cost us the game last night. (two free headers did)
However, I am going to give Huey, Luey & Duey
Marks out of ten.

Luckily for the three lame ducks it was raining.

First Highland Derby!
Oh Dear!
Craig Thompson as referee.
I hope he is better today, than he was at Pittodrie a couple of weeks back.

Thompson could have and should have sent Carey for an early bath. Thankfully this went our way for a change. To be fair to him, this aside, he had a good game for once!!!!

Good to hear an honest opinion.

Is this a thread for 5 year olds?

Remember to take your ball home if you're not playing.

Why, are you 5 years old and would like to bring your toys along?
Quite simple mate, if your not happy, go and gripe somewhere else.
Or are you one of the Jailend Mafia? It's our way or no way!
Quite simply I find your remarks insulting.

They were meant to be insulting so that's good.

Quite simply I find you comments on referees to be childish.

What wrong with a wee cathartic thread on any gripes folk have with referees?
If it helps keep such comments off the match threads, then surely all the better?

There will almost always be folk who have issue with the ref, this seems a harmless way of helping deal with that. Especially as it is its own thread.

Thank you.
It's a thread on its own to get feedback on referees, it's not meant to abuse them or threaten them etc.
A simple points out of ten, with any additional comments.
I sometimes wonder about some of the other threads and posts , however it is not my place to try and ban every thread I disagree with, if we had that sort of mentality, threads would be deleted every other day.
Take a look through some them, some folk are better managers than Sir Alex Ferguson, others are better tactians than Field Marshall Montgomery ( or so they think).
Appears as if some are better suited to MI5 , as their inside knowledge of the club it's Manager and players is better than Roy himself.
But hey ho, they are happy , so let them thread away.
Without threads there would be not site.
And by the way as 2509 has pointed out, Willie will be laughing his sides off on the other side.

I don't think anyone was suggesting this thread should be banned. But I do think that you should not be allowed to post to it unless you have read the Laws of the Game. That rules me out, and quite a few others, I suspect.

Willie Collum last night’s referee against Aberdeen.
In atrocious weather conditions the referee performed very well, excellent performance, got most decisions correct, including the two bookings.
Marks! 8 out of 10.

Aye, credit where its due, I thought he had a good game in difficult, wet conditions.

I was going to mention referee Maclean , give him a score for todays game!
One thing for certain, he is not the sharpest tool in the box!
Not the best referee, to come through the ranks.
However, as it seems rather "childish" to some folk.
I'll leave the points score to some other bold person.

I think Steven Maclean being the brother of Brian, a player who left us in the summer with a few issues with the club, and refereeing our games is a little concerning.

An SPL player's brother being an SPL referee shouldn't be allowed IMO.

I thought Woods was very unlucky not to be awarded a penalty in the first half.
