Rovers v County, 9th March

I will be grateful for a win of any kind and think the boys should just manage it.

1 - 0 to County. Goal late in first half from Brittain. At least one sending off in another tetchy and tense encounter.

Yeah - bring on ... whoever

i wonder if adams will rest players for Hibs game i doubt it but it will be bad if we pick up injuries. If we play well and take our chances we should win. However raith are a very organised team with good players. with them being at home might favour us they should play more open that should allow us to get in behind them. 2 0 craig and barrowman.

I imagine Midge will be back in the starting line-up after being rested on Saturday.

I would imagine we will go for a more quick counter attacking style on Tuesday, so I think Midge and Jimmy will be in from the start instead of Vigurs and Craig.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see Keddie replace Watt too.

Really tough game and one or two might be looking ahead to Saturday. Not want to say it but I really think it will be tough tomorrow night.

I think we will leave with a point.

Thought Vigurs did alright on saturday, watt did nothing wrong either, would'nt say either deserved to be dropped. Maybe put gardyne in instead of Craig or Barrowman one upfront with gardyne inbetween the striker and midfield.
Another 1-0 win would be a great result!

I don't think either did anything wrong in the weekend game either. I'm just thinking that we'll probably play a more counter attacking style, so best to have the faster players on the park.

As for Keddie, he's not played in over a month with the suspension and cancellations, so maybe a wee run out before Saturday in case he is needed then - I would play Keddie on Saturday you see as he gives away less free kicks than Watt - and we don't want to be giving Hibs free kicks within 25 yards of goal !

I'm hoping Raith play a more attacking style tonight than they did at Viccy Park. Their negative formation, time wasting and lack of ambition going forward made it hard to get the goal we needed. Thankflly we got the pen. It is often said that a sign of a good team is one that can not play particularly well and still grind out the results, this was the crack on Saturday.

I think if Raith play 2 up front tonight then we will have more control in midfield, and will score a couple. There defence looks a bit ropey.

The BBC reckons:

Stephen Simmons and Gregory Tade are added to the Raith squad after the duo served suspensions.
Mark Campbell remains sidelined, while Iain Davidson and Jonny Russell are also still missing with knocks.
Ross County boss Derek Adams may rest a number of his first-team players ahead of the Scottish Cup tie against Hibs.
Strikers Steven Craig and Andy Barrowman are likely to make way, with Michael Gardyne and Gary Wood ready to be drafted into attack

Think I'd prefer Craig's pace and experience ... and that 3 points at Kirkaldy is as important as trying to win at Easter Road.

BBC are talking pi$h as per usual. Adams isn't going to be resting anyone ahead of the cup tie, only changing his tactics to suit the game at hand. He has already said in the P&J that they are taking one game at a time, and will deal with the cup tie when it arrives.

No Morrison tonight, out injured, although Keedie is at left back - he's played well there before (last season at Starks park he played left back and scored twice !!)

Martin Scott in too, but I didn't hear who he replaces, as I hear Vigurs is also in the starting eleven

I'll firm up the squad when it appears on line

our line up makes sense to me. Del has indeed more sense than the BBC. Glad to see Giaco on the bench too.

Hoping the enforced change will benefit us.

Can Shields(toe) last 74 minutes plus stoppage time?

I was hearing on Saturday that Shields had an operation on toe earlier int he season and it's been a success, he can seemingly now play full time football again.

Stuart Kettlewell has been booked BTW

And Barrowman scores !!!

1-0 County

Now why aint I surprised.

Also good to see Shields get a bit of luck in his carear as he's had more than his fair share of disapointment....obviously lets hope he gets his shooting boots after tonights game.

1-0 is more than enough, but it would be good to get a confidence building result before Saturday.

Also, Caley now winning.
