Best manager since joining SFL

Who is the best manager in your eyes since we joined the sfl?

I have included John Robertson and Gardiner Speirs and Dick Campbell even though they were not here for long.

I also included Scott Leitch even though we got relegated as he did bring us our first National Cup.

I did not include short caretaker managers as it would be pointless.

Tough one. Cooper's the obvious one to go for as he got us into the first division and Adams has been very good since he started.

cooper, purely for the fact he was in the job longer and got us to our highest finishing position in the league.

For me Derek Adams, and by some way......

IMHO he has created the most talented squad that County have ever had. I would still argue that the team's 9-0 demolition over (a very good) Stirling Albion in the last round of the Scottish Cup is the best County performance that I have seen - and this covers the last 35 years or so. I think that on that day County would have comfortably beaten any team in Scotland. 'Total Football' at its best / football as it should be played.

Fair play ,Cooper also moulded a very talented squad during his era, but he was given significantly more resources/ financial clout to do so. During part of his stewardship Ross County had > 30 full time players on their books at the same time. They also played a quick passing game during this time, but this style has become even quicker / more refined under Adam's time, and with less resources at his disposal.

I also believe that Adams will better County's highest ever SFL finish (fourth in D1) come the end of this season..........
