Sportscene Highlights
I emailed BBC basically saying "I have noticed over the past two weeks that you have been using our old badge on your show and that it has actually changed for this season. The new badge is on Ross Countys website, I know its a small change but im sure all the fans really notice it. Perhaps this can be changed on future shows?"

Really didnt expect a response for months and got this email today:

"Thank you for your e-mail. Your comments were passed to the Head of News, who has asked that I forward his response as follows:

"We can only apologise for the mistake made with the Ross County badge at the weekend. It was a genuine human error which has now been investigated and will be sorted for the next programme. It should not have happened in the first place.

Thank you, once again, for taking the time to contact us."

We will no doubt see our old badge replaced with the Rangers badge.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
It's quite an easy mistake to make. It's hardly been well publicised that we've a new badge. I doubt many County fans even know it's been changed.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
I think Sky are still using the old badge aswell. I noticed it was the old one when looking forward to seeing what they had for Ross County at the start of the SPL intro titles for live games and unless you haven't seen them we have two supporters/workers in a distillery shouting c'mon the Staggies! I'm glad they didnt have us in a farmers field on a bale like St Johnstone.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
STV are using the old one too. As said, easy mistake to make seeing as it hasn't exactly changed much, more of a wee tweak.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
Glad someone started a topic on Sportscene. As far as I can tell, I am paying the same licence fee as those south of the border so why is the production values of our football package completely sh*te compared to MOTD? It's bad enough that our commentators, video footage and presenters are poor but we also have the indignation of our one and only football show being broadcast on BBC2, thus meaning we miss out on HD.

Maybe I should email the Beeb, they seem to have someone manning the computers.

Remember a few years back, the highlights show was just that - highlights. No studio, no presenter, no moronic guests who will never say anything critical of anyone, no previews, no rehashing what you had just seen. Half hour programme, very cheap and cheerful, and miles better than the [censored] we have to put up with now. At least Rob has the good grace to look permanently embarrassed.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
Being on BBC2 doesn't matter when it comes to HD (MOTD2 was shown on BBC2 last season but still got HD coverage). The problem is the cost of using HD cameras at the game and/or doing the HD transfer during the production of the programme. BBC Scotland's budget is separate from the English BBC, same for BBC Wales and BBC NI.

All media outlets were issued with details and various electronic versions of the new badge around the start of July.

RE: Sportscene Highlights
They still used the old one last night. What we need is a big flag/banner with it on and start waving it around at games Tongue

That blip aside, I thought this week's Sportscene was excellent. I was actually interested to hear what Levein and Thompson had to say. Thought they spoke well and intelligently, which is more than can be said for a lot of them. Hope they have them on more often.

I, for one, am never interested what that egotistical fud Levein has to say. Can't wait for his SFA stint to be over.

What you got against Levein? Seems to be a lot of haters out there. I think he's doing a grand job and has the right mix of passion for the game and country
