There was two County games today.

One side beat Elgin 4-1 with Glen , Boyd, McMenamin & an OG from their keeper with the goals for County.

The other side beat Fort William 6-1 , don't know who scored yet.

Seems an impressive score v Elgin, thought they would push us close.
Hopefully Quinn will recover quickly!

A couple of staggies were tweeting scores, hopefully they can give us some more info.

Was a fairly tough and physical game against Elgin - played at a very competitive pace, the first half anyway. Vigurs had a great game - even though he looked (deceptively) like he was hardly out of 2nd gear. I was impressed with Bateson. The comparison in styles between an attacking (Bateson) FB and a defensive FB (Tokely in the 2nd half) was quite marked - although Tokely was quite effective too.

Dont think Quinns injury was too serious - nothing much on Twitter so thats a good sign. Kettlewells tackle on Elgins no 9 was a bit brutal though - believe it wasnt too serious, despite the ambulance

Passed a wee Ross County van on the way home and who was driving it? - Derek Adams..! Thats what I like about County - no pretentious visions of grandeur.

Jesus, Ketts, hope your timing gets better for the start of the season, that tackle was a shocker!

Good highlights, Elgin are awful at corners. Jimmy Scott looked decent in the clips.

Hopefully Rocco is ok, but it didn't look great.

Ketts tackle, was poorly timed at best.
He needs to calm down a bit as we can't afford to have 10 men on the park in the SPL. (Just a bit though as his style in the centre is exactly what we need)

well done boys.

Don't know about anyone else but i really like the away kit now!

Ketts was just getting revenge for the Quinn tackle. Glen took his goal well , Boyd and McMenamin with two great headers and the 4th was quite amusing Tongue

Love the wee comment on the 4th County goal there...."he's nae getting a deal" Big GrinBig Grin

Hope both players who came off are ok, Rocco's looks pretty painful when the studs come down on the foot, and Ketts tackle is just him perfecting his enforcer role....be warned any wannabe tough guys from the SPL, mess with us and we'll launch Ketts upon you.

Scorers in the game against Fort William were Kurtis Byrne hat-trick, 2 for Alex Cooper and 1 for Tony Dingwall

Hope your as forgiving if someone breaks one of our forwards legs! He really does need to screw the nut, he will get a reputation and refs will watch him like a hawk

Good 1st half and never any real bother for the boys 4 well taken goals although Craig Gunn took his reply well and did pose a wee threat. Counties 4th was a cracker the keeper stuffed his punch right into his own net from an RB corner. 2nd half was marred by the 2 injuries although heard today Elgin players leg isnt broken. Ketts tackle was hard to say the least. Not helped much by ref who was bad, never even gave a free kick against Ketts.
