Former Players & Managers
Good luck to Lawson. A player who's ability to take the ball off the defence and play a pass we've not had since.

Tricky Dicky Foster being extra tricky again, for his manager at least...

Must be something in the water in Perthshire if Ricky Foster's suddenly turned into a hardcase.

He seems to have become a very angry man, he's been round the block enough to know better than lashing out like he has been.

You would think so, but that's 2 bans in as many seasons for ridiculous, petulant bouts of violence. Never seemed like that kind of player when he was with us.

I don't recall Foster being overly aggressive at all- bad fit in the St. Johnstone dressing room?

Luckily we got a superior replacement (eventually) in Naismith.

Yep was watching him there recently on the box playing against Cork, managed a draw to keep the league going.  It is a fairly poor league.  I was going to the Galway games for a while but heart was not into it, and the standard was not high enough to keep me interested.  Wish I could go to County games each week though, regardless of standard...

Paul Lawson's Formartine beat East Stirling 4-0 in the Scottish cup.
Lawson played alongside ex staggies Archie MacPhee (scored), Scott Ferries (scored) and Stuart Anderson - I presume it's the same one.
Garry Wood was an unused sub and they also have a Callum Dingwall!

Whenever I watched the U20s at the time he featured, Archie MacPhee looked a player that could have stepped up to a higher level.
Wonder how he would have fared under the current Ketts setup.
